The weather is getting cooler and the leaves are falling.  It seems like yesterday we started the school year and in the blink of an eye the first nine weeks is over.  Teachers are in the process of scheduling conferences with all of our parents.  This is a great opportunity for teachers to share important information about your child’s progress and for you to talk with them about your concerns as well.  As always, please feel free to contact you child’s teacher anytime you have concern.

       With Thanksgiving on the horizon, I would like to take the time to say thank you to our students, staff, and parents.  As in any school, it is the people that make it a great place.  We all work together everyday to create a safe and positive environment for our students.  I am thankful to work in such a great school.  Our PTO, as always, is a wonderful support for coordinating volunteers, providing our students with technology and many other instructional supports, and for providing family fun activities. Thank you for all of your efforts. Your support for Park Ridge is greatly appreciated. 

     We have lots of changes for the month of November.  School is closed for a teacher workday on Tuesday, November 3^rd and on Wednesday, November 11^th for Veteran’s Day.  There is also an early release for elementary on Wednesday, November 18^th.  Of course we will be closed on for Thanksgiving from on Wednesday, November 25^th through Friday, November 27^th.  Don’t forget to check out our calendar for other important dates and events.
