New Student Registration
If you are new to the Park Ridge area and need to register your child for school, you will need to bring
in the following items: Original Birth Certificate for your child, something showing that you live at a
Park Ridge address, Physical and Immunization records, Social security number and the name and
telephone number of the previous school your child attended, so we can request your child’s records.
If your child has an IEP, it is very helpful if you can bring a copy of it, as well. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call us at (540) 658-6320.

Notes from the office
should not arrive before 8:35 a.m. No one will be on duty to supervise children before that time. If your
child is a car-rider, please only drop your child off at the car-rider drop off area (side of the building).
to keep up with different schedules for 650 children!!! If however, your child is going home a different
way, or will be picked up early please send in a note with the students first and last name and the
teacher’s name, as well as the date on the note. All notes get sent to the office. If your child is
going home with another child, both children need to bring in notes. Thank you so much for your
cooperation!!!
Please call the office if your child is absent or is going to be absent. It is required by law that we contact
you if your child is not in school. We really appreciate hearing from you, so we don’t have to bother you at home. We have an attendance line that you may leave your child’s information on. Please send in a note on your child’s return to school with your child’s first and last name, teacher, date, and reason your child was
absent from school. Attendance is very, very important to your child’s success at school.

Parents, please be aware of our early dismissals for the 2009-2010 school year. The early dismissals will also be listed in our monthly newsletter.
